Weaving A Future

Centuries before Spanish conquest, Andean weaving and textiles were a free form of expression in the indigenous community. Ancestral beliefs and cultural values were woven into these beautifully handmade pieces. Status could be determined through different colors, patterns and designs yet the textiles were worn and accessible to all.

Our love and fascination with these ancient techniques led us to work with artisans from Otavalo to help get our own designs and patterns woven as a way to preserve their artistry and share our beliefs and cultural values in our very own modern designs.

You’ll find our accents resemble traditional designs, because we did our best to stay true to the minimalistic geometry found in their patterns.

Our goal is to continue to weave together stories along with the people of Otavalo and to seek new and innovative ways to bring together this art with modern design.
